Bluegrass Music is mostly about
family and friends and the community of fans
and musicians is very important to us all.
Rev. Kirk A. Ritchie has offered
to be our Bluegrass Chapel editor and is very interested in keeping
those in need in our prayers, informing the Tri-State area of
news such as marriages, births and special occasions. He would
also like to let our friends know of those whom have departed
this earthly realm and those who need our prayers from sickness,
injury or other difficulties.
We hope that you will find this
area to be an important part of our community network.
Most Sincerely,
The Staff of Buckeye Bluegrass,
Indiana Bluegrass and Michigan Bluegrass.com

This in from Alice Freed and
her Ohio Bluegrass Community Newsletter
She wrote to tell us
that Paul Friend, known as Little Red and a member of
the White Oak Bluegrass Band is going through a rough time.
On November 17, he lost
his son Dwayne Allen Friend to a heart attack at the
young age of only 40. Only 11 months before he had lost his
other son at
Christmas time to a heart attack as well. And several years
previous he had
lost his 7 year old son to a freak accident. No father should
have to
endure so much. There is a benefit in the works and a bake sale
and raffle
to help with funeral expenses. The benefit is planned for April
and any
bands who would like to help, please contact Alice. Also, if
you would like
to help with the sale, contact her as well.
In the meanwhile, please
offer your prayers to this family in their time of
need. This is such a hard time for many in need.
Contact Alice Faye Freed at 800-499-3151
or 330-699-4315 for info.
Thanks to all for your kind thoughts
and prayers. As many of you know, we actually had to suspend both
local and syndicated broadcasts due to Marc's sudden bout with
seizures. He had a seizure disorder as a child, but hasn't had
any in over 13 years...until September. He is spending the night
tonight at a local hospital to run even more tests. He is doing
much better now, and he hopes that he will be 'back in the saddle'
again soon. I do to. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers.
I will try to keep everyone posted. Jennifer Baum - Boulton Beach
