Welcome to the official home of the SciNet FTN on the Internet. For those of you who have no idea what SciNet is it's a collection of echo mail (think newsgroups) bases that are bbs specific. You can access these echo's via an FTN connection, on a bbs that's a member of SciNet. You can also access the SciNet echo's via the bbs-scene.org news server at news.bbs-scene.org or via an http style forum, like the one at the Diskshop BBS.
If you are a sysop and want to join SciNet then you will need to download the latest SciNet info pack. Inside the archive you will find an application that you will fill out and email back to frank[at]bbs-scene.org. Inside the archive you will also find everything you need to get going, the latest nodelist, scinet.na (a list of echo's in a .na format), and scibone.na (a list of file echo's in a .na format. We current offer the following methods of distribution:
