Explorer LV, Elite, White/White/Teal

The EXPLORER LV is designed for the smaller expeditioner or paddler wanting a full length boat its speed and glide. It is designed for rough water and covering distances, this expedition kayak is maneuvrable, directionally stable and carries solid loads with ease. Made to fit the small paddler by designing a smaller cockpit and less volume than the standard Explorer, but the same hull, its best for those under 160 lbs. This kayak is more stable than the Pilgrim Expedition.

MIKCo recommends fitting it with Nigel's foam seat, but it can be fitted with the new High performance glass seat which comes in two sizes. The kayak has an extremely low rear deck for easy rolling, a shorter, narrower keyhole cockpit that gives excellent grip, control and allows quick exit if need be. The sloping bulkhead behind the seat allows the kayak to be emptied by lifting only the bow, no x-rescue is necessary. This one has a custom front bulkhead and the near unkinkable Kari skeg system.

This is a full on expedition grade boat that will easily absorb the beating of landing on Maine's rocky islands. After all its an NDK.
