Biological Sciences at Oxford

Oxford University has a world-wide reputation in Biology for both teaching and research. With our undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences we are continuing to build on this reputation, continually fine-tuning our courses and teaching methods, and striving to provide the best opportunities and facilities for undergraduate training.

The course incorporates modern developments and makes full use of Oxford’s major research expertise in animal and plant sciences, and utilising links with government and national research organisations in Britain and throughout the world. We believe that by combining our teaching with this resource of world-class scientific research we can offer a degree course which is second to none and we are exceptionally proud of our award of maximum points (24 out of 24) in our last Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) assessment.

These pages will show you about the course, the facilities and opportunities that we can offer at Oxford and how to go about applying to the Biological Sciences course.
