Sequence automatically keeps each of your content suppliers informed of wich materials they need to be sending when. It also tells them wich materials have been received and claimed because there were problems.

GENERAL
  1. What is Sequence?

Sequence is a tool to help you manage your media workflow more efficiently. It takes away a lot of the bureaucracy associated with keeping content owners, service providers, distributors and their various teams in the loop. It helps you to become more efficient, make less mistakes and be constantly on top of what is happening in your media organization.

  2. Who is Sequence for?

If you bring content to a screen, Sequence is for you. Sequence is targeted to those who are involved in getting content onto a TV channel or service:

    • Content distributors (IPTV, Cable, Mobile etc.)
    • Content Aggregators (Broadcast, PayTV, VOD, PPV etc.)
    • Service Providers (Encoding, Dubbing, Subtitling, Logistics etc.)

Content owners and those who manage the editorial aspects of an on-demand service interact with Sequence in a major way, but they are not the natural clients for this product, unless they are producing their in-house channels and services. This is because Sequence is focussed on managing the process of getting content from multiple sources onto a screen. Content Owners need to fulfill their license deals and get their content out to many licensees.

Movida, our other product, is designed to address the specific operational issues of those who look after scheduling, rights and metadata.

  3. What languages is Sequence available in?

Currently Sequence is available in English and Spanish. However, our app does allow UTF-8 character sets so you can enter content in many languages including Spanish, French, German, Hebrew, Korean, Japanese or Chinese.

  4. How much does Sequence cost?

We think a lot less than what you are used to spend on specialized TV management software. Please refer to our pricing chart for details.

GETTING STARTED
  1. What do I need to get started with Sequence?

Two things: A workflow template and a schedule

    A workflow template
Sequence has been designed to be flexible and to adapt to your way of working. It works if you’re a large operation that sells movies on-demand with lots of people working in different locations, but it also works if you’re a two person team just running a small media operation on the internet. We manage this using workflow templates.

A workflow template is a set of tasks and materials that are associated to how a title needs to be processed. You can have as many as you want, so that you can define different workflows for different kinds of content. You prepare the template once, and when you add new content to your schedule, you select the right template for each piece of content.

    A schedule
If a piece of content needs to be on air by a certain date all the work to get it on air needs to happen prior to this date. Scheduling drives workflow in Sequence and automatically prioritizes the workflow, telling you what needs to be done when. This even happens on an individual user level, so that everyone involved in the workflow, knows what they need to do.

  2. I have an existing workflow with 100’s of titles. How do I get that onto Sequence?

Sequence allows you to import titles from Excel. Download our template, dump your data and upload it to Sequence; if it passes the validation checks, you’re good to go. If something goes wrong, we tell you exactly what did go wrong, so you can fix it and try again.

Once you’re in the habit of working with Sequence, it is very quick and easy to add new titles to your schedule either one by one, or in bulk.

USING SEQUENCE
  1. Who has access to Sequence?

Within Sequence there are four levels of access:

    • Coordinator: This is someone who manages the operations. They can do everything on the system.
    • Operator: Operators are the people doing the work. They complete tasks. They cannot add or delete new users, modify the workflow templates or add/delete/modify the schedule for a service or channel.
    • Watchtower access/Client access: This is someone who’s interested in what’s going on with operations, without being part of it. Generally people who work in Programming, Content Acquisitions, Finance or Management. What they see is only the highlights of the operations (titles processed, on air, etc.) but not the nitty-gritty details (who did what when). They also can see a 'timeline' view of the schedule useful for content programming.
    • Content Suppliers: Every time you communicate with your providers through Sequence, they will receive temporary access to an automatically generated view of the traffic status for the materials they need to send you.

  2. I’m not part of operations, what’s in it for me?

Watchtower is a part of Sequence that helps you to keep track of what’s happening with your channel/service. It provides you with key service and operational data and let’s you know the status of your TV operations, regardless of whether they are managed in-house or if you’ve subcontracted them to a third party. If you’re managing a service on behalf of someone else, this particular feature is great to keep your clients in the loop on what you’re doing for them.

Sequence also provides you with a single programming grid shared between every one. The program grid helps you to keep an eye on content volumes and refresh rates. There are many filters that can be applied to this grid, so if for instance you want to see how many horror movies you’ve got programmed across the year, you can do it with the click of a button.

If you’re managing the relationship with your content suppliers it’s good to be on top of how they relate and perform in the context of operation. Sequence will provide you with this information.

  3. We have a problem inside operations. I want to know what happened.

Sequence keeps a detailed log of everything that happens with a title from the moment it gets scheduled. If there is a problem, you will be able to tell who did what when. Both for people in your organization as well as outside of it.

It shows whether problems have been reported, and when they’ve been resolved by whom, and it also keeps track of communication between you and your content suppliers. Never before have you had this level of information about your workflow at your fingertips.

  3. Can you customize Sequence for us?

Everyone uses the same version of Sequence. If you have specific suggestions that help us improve Sequence, we’d love to hear from you.

SECURITY AND DATA
  1. I really want your software to run locally in my environment...

We do not do that, in principle. We are great believers in software as a service, and that we can offer our customers a much better experience by offering our products from the cloud. However, if you think otherwise and you are still interested in our software, by all means talk to us and we will see what we can do.

  2. Is our data backed up in case of an emergency?

Yes, data is backed up constantly and safely. We can perform full backup recovery in the event of a system-wide emergency.

  3. Whose data is it anyway?

Your data is yours, and is confidential. We take all necessary precautions to keep your information safe and secure. If you cancel your Sequence account, all data inside is deleted.

  4. Can I take my data with me when I leave?

You can request an XML dump of your data at support@bebanjo.com, prior to closing your account.
