Maribol IMDB – WordPress Plugin

Maribol IMDB is a wordpress plugin that helps you show info about a movie in your blog posts.

Example of usage:

May we respectfully make a request or 2…

1) Would it be possible for the plugin to embed the actual trailer.

2) Would it be possible for the plugin to be automated in that it has options to search movie genres and post automatically.

Hi,

Great plugin, although i’m having more and more problems…

6 movies of 10 imdb rating says 0/10 in the post, but there is rating on

imdb site.

And sometimes it doesn’t post the year and category and duration its just blank :S

I checked the cache files… the missing contents are missing there too…

Is it me or does this still have bugs??

Great plugin, during the testing, I find out some issue:
1. some times [imdb:categories] and [imdb:rating] not working
(sample movie: www.imdb.com/title/tt1414378/)

2. It is better to add a buttom to refresh cache for all movie in case some date not avaiable during the previous caching

I have deinstalled your plugin again. The performance problems are very big and with every second imdb movie I have a problem. Maybe I will try it later again when you have more time to fix the bugs. I cant have a very slow blog over some weeks.

@Samuel the plugin is not working anymore.. is there change in IMDB API or somewhat like that because for now whole codes are jumping out… without bieng parsed or whatsoever.

Hi, great Plugin!!
I encountered a Problem with the following Movie. Nothing is shown.

BTW. I guess you fetch the details from the webpage of IMDB. That way is very fragile. I think IMDB is dumping their Database into text files. Maybe that is an option – at least for movies that are not the most newest.

I´ve seen this plugin couple hours ago and played with it in a sand box…. outstanding work! Done some tweaks to the plugin and WP Robot and it works like a charm! There are few plugins for WP that i like but this one i just love it! Still i did not use it in production environment but i´ll keep you informed. Thanks Marian!

I tried to use this form but it dosent work.

I really like the idea of the plugin, but I can’t get it running.
I changed permissions of the whole maribol plugin folder to 777, but no succes. Looking at the movies list in cache, the IMDb ID is correct (clicking it redirects to the correct imdb page). However, under Title(year) I only see (0). Do you have any suggestions?

Hey, your Plugin is really great but i’ve a question:

Is it possible to use more than 1 Movie Title in a article?

I tried to create a chartlist with 10 different titles and positions, but everywhere the descriptions from the first [imdb]…[/imdb] are shown.

Do you have any idea?

The tag is [imdb:trailer] and [imdb:trailer_name] to get the trailer name
