Welcome to NOCN - a leading UK Awarding Organisation

We are recognised by the Regulatory Authorities in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and provide flexible, credit-based qualifications to a range of education and training providers and employers.

NOCN, with nearly 300 registered qualifications, had the second highest number of achievements in the QCF in 2009-2010, within the UK. With our network of OCNs we are working to ensure that we are fully compliant with the General Conditions of Recognition published by Ofqual in May 2011.

The emerging Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF), endorses the Open College Network’s 25 years experience in the recognition of flexible, bite size learning to meet the needs of adults and young people.

Pre-apprenticeships at the Skills Employment and Growth Conference, QE11 London

Graham Hasting-Evans, Managing Director of NOCN talks at the Skills, Employment and Growth Conference in London on 1 March 2012, about our pre-apprenticeship work and the importance that it has for helping people realize their potential.

NOCN’s workshop provided delegates with an understanding and overview of how courses and recognised qualifications have been developed to equip different learner groups, those that are disadvantaged, unemployed and young people including NEET,  to prepare for and progress to further learning, apprenticeships and then employment by gaining an appropriate level and mix of personal, generic employability and vocational skills that are formally recognised through the achievement of individual units from NOCN national qualifications and/or full NOCN national qualifications.

For information and pictures on this please see attachment.
