Nominate a Teen for the Derek M. Sheckman
Teen Leadership Award
The Jewish Federation of the North Shore is now accepting nominations for the Derek M. Sheckman Teen Leadership Award. This award is given to a Jewish teen in grades 10 and 11 who lives in the Federation's service area on the North Shore. The nominations may be submitted by high school educators, Hebrew School principals, Rabbis and  Teen Leaders by Monday, April 2. The award is given to a teen who demonstrates a commitment to the Jewish community, works to improve the quality of life for others, possesses leadership qualities and is a role model for his/her peers. In addition, this award encourages continued participation in community life, and provides resources for the teen recipient to implement his/her "Make a Difference Community Project".

The Jewish Federation of the North Shore is pleased to offer a second year of our Community Innovations grants in support of our four Strategic Priorities:

4.  Jewish Culture Connections

There is a total of $23,000 to distribute to collaborative, innovative initiatives for our June 4, 2012 deadline.

The Jewish Federation of the North Shore is honored to partner with the Jim Joseph Foundation to provide emergency Jewish education grants for families with demonstrated need. Tuition subsidies are now available for families who wish to send their children to Jewish overnight camps and preschools in the 2012 summer and 2012-2013 school year.
