Seeking that sweet Caribbean steeldrum sound to get your party started? Well look no further! Tracy Thornton, experienced and internationally renowned steelpannist, can bring that excited yet soothing and melodic sound of the islands to any event from intimate parties to large festivals, corporate events to major concerts.
LoveCat Music recording artist Tracy Thornton has been making his living as a professional steelpannist since 1995. He was the founder, leader and arranger for critically acclaimed “Been Caught Steelin’” and the nationally renowned “Sons Of Steel” which had been anointed “The Nation’s Most Exciting Steel Drum Band” back during their four year run. Each group produced 2 CD releases that Tracy produced himself and co-produced “Sons Of Steel’s” Carpe Diem title with world-renowned pannist Andy Narell. Other groups that Tracy has arranged and produced are “The Bahama Mamas”, “The Pink Flamingos” and “Steel Praisin’”.

| Well I hope everyone had a great New Year! 2011 was amazing here. Finished off the last 2 weeks of 2011 in Trinidad! Now it's back to the grind and looking forward to a BIG 2012. As great as 2011 was, 2012 is looking even brighter. Ohio, NY and Texas tours already set up for the spring. Trinidad again for June and many other trips and performances in the works. Check my "Dates" page for more info. BUT the BIG news is the launch of my new an exciting adventure....."Steel Pandemic Records, LLC". My new record label dedicated to putting out really cool steelpan tribute records to artist most wouldn't expect to hear on the pans. Sweet Spring!

| What a spring it has been. Hawaii, Trinidad, Texas, Florida and Ohio already and more to come. The travels have been amazing. The performances have been incredible. The people and new friends I've made along the way have been absolutely delightful(Jim Royle's Drum Studio, Mazzini Gill @ Gill's Pan Shop, Trinidad, Jeff and the New Philidelphia Steelbands, Darren at BYU Hawaii, Adam Mason and the Lethbridge Steelband Canada, all the bands and directors at The Ohio Festival of Steel and everyone who came out to the shows). I really look forward to seeing everyone again in the fututre. It looks like the schedule and travels will keep rollin throughout the summer so check my calendar and come on out and hang if I am around your area. Hope to see you all and have a great summer! | Hope everyone is making it through this COLD and seemingly LONG winter. I am ready for spring more anyone! But in the meantime I am in the studio finishing up my new tribute CD. This one is a Tribute To Jack Johnson. I am also producing and recording The Bahama Mamas new CD and recording my friends heavy rock group "Zodiac Bhudda's" first release.
Good things are happening these days. I just had one of my tunes placed in CBS's drama series "NCIS LA" this month and had some of my music put in a Trinidadian cartoon. There is lots of traveling and performing on the horizon as well... Hawaii, Texas, Trinidad, Ohio, New York and more to come. So check out my calendar and come on out if you are near any of these places. Would love to see some of my friends in these spots and hang out while I'm on the road.
