Renewable energy innovator to expand presence of Second Wind's technology in the UK wind energy market
The government has failed to get permission to appeal to the Supreme Court over its plan to cut subsidies for solar panels on homes
The Dulas Info Centre provides comprehensive information on all aspects of the renewable energy technologies we provide and support.
Use this section if you are considering implementing a renewable energy solution in your home or workplace or need more information on industry developments. You can also use it if you just want to find a definition for some of the terminology currently used in such a fast-paced environment.
Inspiring Renewable Energy. By that we mean inspiring industry, commercial companies, public sector organisations, charities and community groups to consider using renewable energy as an essential of their overall energy needs. We operate across all areas of the renewable energy supply chain from feasibility and resources assessment right through to installation, operation and maintenance of systems throughout the UK and worldwide.
Dulas provide renewable energy products, services and consultancy expertise in the following areas:
Solar Power - solar power vaccine and blood refrigeration systems have been provided for numerous third world countries. Much of this work has involved designing and installing systems utilising solar power in remote, off-grid areas including sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Far East. We have delivered solar powered systems alongside numerous in-country charities, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and relief agencies by providing renewable energy solutions utilising solar power and other sustainable technologies. Dulas provide equipment and technical know-how, facilitating humanitarian relief for many thousands of people living in disadvantaged communities worldwide. Dulas also undertakes domestic and commercial scale solar power installations on a range of buildings from homes through to agricultural barn roofs in the UK.
Wind turbines - Dulas provide consultancy, planning and installation services for medium scale wind turbines. Clients usually include farmers and landowners seeking commercial gain from Feed-in Tariff revenues. Medium scale wind turbines in the 50kW to 500kW range include the Endurance E-3120 50kW and Northern Power Systems Northwind 100kW wind turbines. These wind turbines deliver the best return and payback through the feed-in Tariff (FIT) and provide free electricity to dairy, arable and livestock farmers in Scotland, England and Wales and to commercial and industrial sites.
Hydroelectric Power - the majority of Dulas Hydro customers are developers, large land owners, water companies and utility companies with renewable energy obligations. Dulas Hydro are experts in the delivery of run of river small to medium-sized hydroelectric power schemes. They provide a wealth of practical experience in developing and constructing hydroelectric power projects from initial assessment to full remote management. Such hydroelectric power projects can range from small battery charging systems of 200W, up to 2MW grid connected schemes in the UK and overseas. Dulas Hydro specialises in the installation of quality, reliable and efficient hydroelectric power systems and have extensive experience in the refurbishment of existing underperforming schemes.
