A Charleston native, Hunter Boone began his media career on the set of, “Dear John” working in the casting director’s office in 2009. Hunter studied film at Trident Technical College and has worked on film/tv sets such as Army Wives on Lifetime, Little Red Wagon, Republic of Pete, & Homeland on the Showtime Network. Hunter’s passion is film & new-media and is frequently freelancing around the Charleston area, shooting for Charleston Magazine, creating video-podcasts for Advantage Media Group, and has even shot a TV-pilot for the cooking channel for best-selling author & fitness trainer “Jennifer Nicole Lee”. Hunter had the chance to help create a promotional street-team with Chris Hardwick of G4TV for actor and comedian, “Fred Willard”, when he was releasing his first published book “Fred Willard’s Magnificent Movie Trivia”, during the summer of 2010.
Now in 2011, Hunter recently shot coverage with his social-media client, Andrew C. Petersen of ACPImage, for Charleston Fashion Week and his video coverage helped his client land an on-air talent position with the Animal Planet and the Bravo Network. He has even worked for Steven Sprung, editor of Entourage & NBC’s Community, helping create an online newsletter for Steven’s independent film, “Dispatch”. Hunter will also be working with Noah Everett and John Barnett of TwitPic.com this year, helping promote Heello.com with episodic online-video.
When Hunter is not working, he enjoys running, auditioning for community theatre, and shooting sketch-comedy with Joe Girard of 95sx on WLCN-18 TV and with his friends for www.RoflWaffle.tv. He is also an avid web-designer, loves learning new web-standards and keeping up with technology. Hunter also hopes to work for Paramount Studios as an editor, actor and director one day and is looking forward to Charleston becoming a “Creative Capital of the World”.
