Betting through this site means you are betting directly into the ACTUAL track tote pools, declaring the same dividends you would see if you were attending the track in person.
Placing a tote bet means you are betting against other people like yourself rather than against a bookmaker. The dividends are decided by dividing the total pool of all bets placed on the race between the number of bets placed on the winning dog, after a set deduction has been taken from the central pool. The deduction from the total pool ensures that more money goes back into greyhound racing from a tote bet than from any other form of greyhound bet.
