How To Have An Affair And Not Get Caught … The Ultimate Marital Affairs Guide!
SexSearch.com Review – Finding Affairs On SexSearch AshleyMadison Review

AshleyMadison Review

On November 26, 2011, In Reviews, by Marital Affair Advisor

AshleyMadison Review by Affair Guide. In our opinion, AshleyMadison isn’t as good (result wise) as SexSearch or AffairsClub. AshleyMadison is by far the biggest affairs site on the web – it has dominated the affairs dating niche for quite some time, and as a result, it has both some advantages and some disadvantages. The biggest DISADVANTAGE & RISK I found is that private investigators could be checking the site regularly (as described on this PI site ). If I were a private investigator, AsleyMadison would definitely be the first place I’d be checking. So if you’re being suspected of having an affair joining a ***POPULAR*** affairs site like AshleyMadison is that much more risky.

My Review Of AshleyMadison

I’ve read up quite a lot on AshleyMadison from a variety of internet sources. The range of experiences reported by people that have used AshleyMadison ranges from absolutely terrible to moderately good. For example, take this poor guy’s experience with the site …

I joined and put up my profile on AshleyMadison in March 2010 and had an active membership for 2 months. I spent over 500$ on the site communicating, because AshleyMadison operates on a “credit basis’ (you use up credits when contacting prospective partners). During that time, I was only able to get 3 actual meetings with women from the Ashley Madison dating agency (one of which ended in a hookup). If you make a comparison to how many married girls I picked up off other dating sites, it’s actually quite low.

One of the problems I found was that it takes a helluva lot of time to set up a date with women you message. I also met up with another woman apart from the original 3 – but her husband somehow figured out she had an AshleyMadison membership and decided to come have a talk to me about the whole affair. I don’t have to tell you that I was not happy with how that situation went down. I just can’t have pissed off husbands hunting me down…

Source: Personal Ads User Review

Guys, I can tell you that if this had actually happened to me, I wouldn’t have been very happy about that whole experience with AshleyMadison, and certainly as a result of reading this don’t think the site is the best if you’re looking to have a discreet affair.

Others on the internet also seem to have gripes against the AshleyMadison cheating site. If you believe the stories from AshleyMadisonSucks.com, you’ll see a lot of disappointed folks. This guy claims that AshleyMadison sent dispute information to his home (where he lives with his WIFE of all places!). If you believe the AshleyMadison user ratio review found here, the ratio of females is over-reported by using fake profiles. And then, there’s the case of guys like this who got his personal information posted on AshleyMadison without his knowledge, and is now reaping the “awesome rewards”.

Don’t get me wrong – AshleyMadison is probably a pretty decent website, but I just like my affair romances to be as drama-free as possible. I don’t like living my life looking over my shoulder – but that’s just me!

AshleyMadison Review – Comparison To Other Affair Websites

If you compare the results from this AshleyMadison review to other affair sites like AffairsClub or adult dating sites like SexSearch, it seems to not be as efficient as what’s promised. One reason may be that women on AshleyMadison are very careful with setting up meetings in person, because could be private investigators looking at this site when it comes to investigating affairs.

In our opinion, the credits based system used at AshleyMadison is a bit of a pain in the ass to work with. Unlike AffairsClub or SexSearch, you use up a credit each time you message someone. So you can burn your credits very fast if you decide to take a “mass mail” approach. And that’s part of the problem – because everyone is very careful, it takes a lot of messages to get a “hit” – so you blow through your AshleyMadison credits pretty quickly – and are asked to renew very often. You also end up blowing a ton of credits on messaging “women” who are actually fake profiles.

Overall, I think that the site is both overpriced and overhyped (and even overly popular, if you ask me!). For the amount of money you end up spending in 2 months of using it, you probably could have picked up 4 or 5 married women from bars. Because everyone is so “careful” when communicating on AshleyMadison, the process from contacting someone to having an actual date seems to take ***forever***. So AshleyMadison guarantees you an affair – but they don’t tell you how long it’ll take to actually find one spacer In my book, that’s over-promising and under-delivering.

As far as a review of the AshleyMadison functionality, it seems to have pretty much all of the features you’d expect an affairs dating site to have, with the exception of video chat. You can search, mail, chat and wink at Ashley Madison members as part of any package – but each action (with the exception of searching for members) will cost you credits.

AshleyMadison – Review Of The Good & Bad Parts

First, the good from our AshleyMadison review:

  1. Ashleymadison is the largest affairs dating site online.
  2. AshleyMadison is very easy to use and features both a great interface and communication features.
  3. If you’re woman you won’t have any trouble finding an affair on AshleyMadison.
  4. AshleyMadison features a discrete billing policy.

Now for the bad on AshleyMadison from our review:

  1. As described by Cheating Spouse PI it appears that the site may be routinely checked by private investigators that are investigating affairs. We definitely recommend not posting face pictures on the site if you decide to join.
  2. Second, you should NOT join AshleyMadison if you’re from a smaller town. It appears most people on the site are from larger urban areas.
  3. Debit cards (even prepaid ones) are not accepted for becoming a member.
  4. AshleyMadison uses a credit-based system – so there are no refunds once you join.
  5. Found that spending 600$ in memberships for one actual affair was too much.

AshleyMadison Review – Statistics

In the United States, AshleyMadison has over 1 million members. In contrast SexSearch and AffairsClub has roughly 750 000 members each. If you’re from a large urban area, like San Francisco for example – there’s a ton of people to pick from to connect with. Worldwide, the site has over 9 million members and does quite well in Canada, the UK and Ireland – as well as France and Germany.

However, like any dating site, not all the people you meet on the site might be real. Given information from this page that discusses AM scams (below),

While AshleyMadison certainly may try hard to filter out fake dating profiles, there’s always some that end up on the site. After joining, I had 4 women contact and flirt with me, only to ask a fee for a “GFE session” (If you don’t know what it is, look it up!). So there definitely are escorts that work AshleyMadison as a way to acquire customers.

Similarly, form what we’ve read, there seem to be scams operating on AshleyMadison. From the same article as above:

There are also a few scams operating on AshleyMadison (like any other dating site). Some women (and men from what we can tell) will get in touch with you and chat you up. They will then state you that they are making a trip to your city next month. And then, ask you to send them cash using something like Wester Union. You need to make sure you NEVER send cash to anyone you meet through the AshleyMadison dating site.

Review Of The AshleyMadison Guarantee

AshleyMadison has a guarantee that they flaunt as part of their affair marketing message which is the “AshleyMadison Affair Guarantee”. Basically, they state that by joining the site, you are guaranteed to have an affair. We’re not sure we believe that

AshleyMadison Profile Scams

As on any online dating site, there could be scams. And AshleyMadison seems to be no different, unfortunately …

I also found this on this page that discusses AM scams:

As I mentioned in my earlier paragraph, there are a few scams operating on the AshleyMadison website (and many other dating sites too!). There are two main categories of scams on AshleyMadison:
- The first one is names the give me cash scam, where some “woman” will seem to be extremely interested in you (and what you have to say) and ultimately try to ask you to send her cash to “fly over to meet you”. They would normally ask you to ship the cash using something like PayPal or WU (Western Union).

- The second is a blackmail scam. In this scam, a girl meets you and says she has a “serious emergency going on” – while her booker figures out where you live as you’re heading back – and tries to push you for a payment in cash to “forget the whole thing ever happened”.

You can avoid the first scam by NEVER sending any cash to anyone you hit up through a site like AshleyMadison. Regarding the second scam, you should always check your car mirror for someone following you. If possible, get a cab driver to drop you off a few blocks away from your residence and walk the rest of the way. Of course, you should make sure you’re not followed. This hasn’t happened to me, however I have heard a few stories from other cheaters a real and present threat and danger.

So … ALWAYS be careful! I also recommend not drinking too much on dates, as this leads to bad decisions and not being as “aware” as you should be.

AshleyMadison Pricing Review

AshleyMadison pricing is credit based and as a result, you get a certain number of credits based on the package you choose when joining AshleyMadison. You can get a package for 49$, 149$ or 249$ (in comparison, a membership for AffairsClub costs roughly 30$). In our opinion, the AshleyMadison membership too expensive for what you actually get. The more you pay, the more credits and access you get on AshleyMadison. AshleyMadison memberships range from basic to gold – each of which carries benefits.

AshleyMadison Mobile Phone Functionality Review

For this AshleyMadison review we also tested out the mobile AshleyMadison website. It’s very well made (although not as good as the AffairsClub mobile functionality). The AshleyMadison mobile application lets you search, contact and chat with members – which is pretty good. What the application doesn’t’ do is give you location based information for members that are close by (the AffairsClub app does, by the way).

AshleyMadison Publicity Review (Banned Commercials)

AshleyMadison has had several commercial that were banned from the air. Here’s a list of them:

AshleyMadison 2011 SuperBowl Commercial (Banned From TV)

AshleyMadison On The Huckabee Show

AshleuMadison On The View

AshleyMadison 2009 SuperBowl Commercial (Banned From TV)

AshleyMadison – Company Overview

AshleyMadison is a Canadian company (eh!). They are headquartered in Toronto and operate in most international markets. We’re not use how much revenue AshleyMadison makes, as it it a privately held company.

AshleyMadison Review – Conclusion

While I was able to meet women off this site, I’d say that the heavy price tag and the problems that come with using it (husbands hunting you down, private investigators maybe checking it constantly) make it harder to use than other affair websites. I’d recommend trying AffairsClub or SexSearch before you try this one.
