Film Center is a hidden jewel within our great City. Not only
is it a historical landmark (as the city's oldest movie theater),
but it offers local filmmakers an opportunity to show their
films. I recently premiered my documentary feature film, The
Slanted Screen, at a one-week run at the Roxie, and
marveled at the dedication, commitment and heart of the Roxie's
dedicated staff, who has kept the Roxie true to its core mission
of providing a venue for independent films. I urge you to
do everything in your power to support the Roxie. It is an
investment your grandchildren will thank you for."
