Comments From Past Riders

“Every encounter I had with a volunteer was cheerful, helpful, and encouraging.  Truly a great group!  The efficiency of the finish including bag drop, shuttle, and bike retrieval was impressive!”  –Kelly Smith “Many thanks for a well organized event!  You and all volunteers went out of your/their way to make participants feel welcome and well informed.  Everything went like clockwork and the scenery was spectacular.  After having done the Century (for the first time) I should now start training for the double.  Thanks again and best wishes…”  –Oscar Debruynkops “Thanks for the gargantuan effort…  I don’t know how you do it, every volunteer was terrific — “Can I fix you, let me fill your bottle, let me hold your bike,” and at the last one, “can I get you something on the fly?”  I just couldn’t stop turning those pedals at that point.  Everyone that I rode with was positive, conversational…  was it fairy dust?  Anyway, thanks to everyone it made the day all the better.  All the pieces fit together — even those you couldn’t control like the weather –perfect.”  –Joanna Stallings “The ride was fabulous, like it always is.  The volunteers were absolutely the best.  This is by far the best ride I have ever ridden in…  I over heard one of the riders ask if she needed to watch how much she ate and the volunteer told her to eat as much as she wanted b/c you guys had plenty of food. That is the way it should be. You guys are the best! Keep up the great work and I’ll be back again either next year or the following.  I love this ride!“  –David Brown
