ANGLESEY SEA KAYAK SYMPOSIUM 2012

Symposium is now fully booked, however we still have places left in The Tidal Races on the 12th & 13th of May. Don't miss out and Book Today!

The Symposium is a relaxed event which changes with the weather to offer a flexible, fun and action packed weekend. Meet and greet old friends and new, share your experiences and learn practical tips from those that do!

Anglesey is a perfect host for sea kayaking with many fabulous kayaking spots:

Challenge yourself in the Tidal Races at Penrhynmawr, dare the open crossing to the small remote island, The Skerries, explore the caves and outcrops of rocks with abundant sea life and take pleasure in the beautifully inspiring views of the Menai Straits.

You can reach Holyhead from Dublin or Dun Laoghaire by ferry, take the train or drive along the A55 for a quick and direct route. For those wishing to see more scenic views can explore the mountains via the A5 and arrive at a more leisurely pace. Holyhead is steadily growing with new improvements occurring regularly.

The Symposium is open to kayakers of all abilities who want to experience the challenge and excitement of our tidal waters. It will consist of a range of activities from practical on the water sessions, lectures, workshops and evening presentations.

There will also be extended activities which will include BCU Star Awards (2* to 5*), Level 1 and 2 Coaching courses and an additional weekend of Tidal Races and Overfalls.

A mini Anglesey Greenland Games made its first appearance at the Symposium last year and 2012 will see a continuation as this event grows and flourishes. Attempt some of the Greenland Rolls yourself under the reassuring guidance of a few world class instructors and experts.
