1982
Dulas starts out as a commercial subsidiary of the Centre for Alternative Energy.
1984
Develop wind data logging equipment, install solar in Kenya. 50W wind turbines and battery charges developed for Mongolian Nomads.
1985
Pilot solar powered blood banks and operating lamps in Sudan. R&D work on overseas renewable applications and solar fridges in Eritrea.
1988
Install first 10 metre wind monitoring masts at Cemmaes, Wales.
1992
Manage the public enquiry and build of the original Cemmaes wind farm, only the second ever wind farm in the UK.
1993
Install the first off-grid solar PV systems.
1994
Commission first hydro scheme, 15kW in North Wales.
1995
Install two 100kW Francis hydro turbines at Thun Da, Tibet
1997
Open BREEAM excellent rated office on Dyfi Eco Park.
1998
Build first hydro schemes for National Power in Wales.
2000
Install first grid-connected solar PV systems at a domestic property in Llanwrin, Powys.
2002
Win Welsh Exporter of the Year Award.
2003
Commission Ty Cerrig 200kW hydro scheme - the first for Dulas Hydrogeneration, our hydro development company.
2004
Commission combined hydro-solar off-grid system for the National Trust at Gibson's Mill.
2004
Install first solar vaccine fridges in North Korea.
2004
Win Queen's Award for Enterprise.
2005
Install first community district biomass heating scheme.
2005
Record year of vaccine fridge sales to Africa.
2005
Win large framework agreements for the provision of wind development services.
2007
Win UK government bid to supply solar and wind for the Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase II.
2007
Turnkey installation of Pant yr Afon 400kW hydro scheme.
2008
Win Ashden Award for Sustainable Energy.
2008
Refurbishment of six hydro schemes in Ireland totalling 2.7MW.
2008
Install 7kWp solar PV system on the first PassivHaus building in the UK.
2009
Win Fast Growth 50 Award and REA Renewable Energy Company of the Year, Green Apple Awards: Environmental Best Practice Award.
2010
Dulas Scottish office opens in Stirling.
2010
First installation of an Endurance 55kW wind turbine outside of North America.
2010
Install solar and biomass at the UK's first zero carbon church - St Michael's and All Angels Church, Cotswolds.

Dulas Engineering was first formed in 1982 as a commercial subsidiary of the Centre for Alternative Technology at Machynlleth, mid Wales. We are pioneers of the renewable energy industry.
