Abe Sada is a bass noise improv quartet whose main aim is to manipulate the lower end of the sound spectrum through live shows that combine installation with performance. They often play with tools, knives, whips, radio’s and other domestic appliances – often playing under or around stages to vibrate audiences with the extreme bass they produce.
Directed by Perth based sound artist and composer Cat Hope, Abe Sada has a constantly evolving line up of bass players.
spacer The second Abe Sada album The Low Chord is out now on  Japanese label  Kubitsuri Tapes International. Also availble from this site. The album features collaborations with Ed Ammendola (Augie March) and Dave Brown (Bucketrider).

Video

See Abe Sada live at Bakery in May 2007 here. This is a rare “lineup” peformance as Abe Sada usually play spread out within the architechture of a building or anomonously.

The following video is from a live performance, where what you see is a video projection into a theatre, where Abe Sada are vibrating the audience from under thier seats!
And here are a few videos from their 2007 tour in Japan!
