On 19 January 2012 Adhithya Yulianto successfully passed his examination for Master Degree at the Environmental Science Study Program of the University of Indonesia, with a thesis entitled: “Sustainable utilazation of sea-urchin in seagrass beds”.
Training and Seminar on Seafood Safety in Indonesia
A training and seminar on seafood safety in Indonesia with special reference to HAB (Harmful Algal Bloom) was held at the Research Centre for Oceanography – Indonesian Institute of Sciences, Jakarta, from 20 to 21 February 2012.
Development of Marine Ecoregion of Indonesia
A one-day workshop was organized by the Ministry of Environment on 12 March 2012 at Hotel Mirah Sartika, Bogor, to discuss the Development of Marine Ecoregion of Indonesia (Ekoregion Bahari Indonesia/ EBI).

Burundi Water Code adopted – A true progress
The Parliament recently adopted the first Burundi Water Code, a general law providing the standards, the guiding principles in the sector and the legal and institutional frame of water sector, to enable the good governance of potable water services for Burundian population and sustainable management of water resources in the country.
