Silverfox has a new time tracking tool. Becuase we're a bunch of geeks we made sure we picked a really good one. It's called Yast. It's so cool we started decorating our office with artwork inspired by the service. 

We just had the company behind Yast publish a guest blog post where we showered them with praise.

Every year the foxes chip in whatever we can from each paycheck into a community fund. At the end of the year, we do our best to select a noble charity to donate that money to. While there were many in need last year, we decided to donate our funds to the SF Food Bank.

In his last show of the year, Stephen Colbert cited an NBC/WSJ poll that found that 76% of Americans say that 2011, as a year, was below average or the worst in their lifetime. Wow. Very sad news!

Of course serious stuff has been going down the world over, and often it’s hard not to carry that weight around. But as a great human once said, “Let It Be.”

Paul McCartney wrote that song when the Beatles were going through their breakup. Maybe it’s not easy to draw parallels from that to what’s going on in the world today, but the message he received in a dream from his mom (Mother Mary in the song) is very relevant. In his words, that message was “Be gentle, don’t fight things, just try and go with the flow and it will all work out.” Basically, do your best. That’s all anyone can ask.

In that spirit we’d like to do our little part to lift up your spirits, and pay a little love forward. It’s been a long time coming (2 years!), but the Silverfox team found time to shoot another set in our (semi-)annual Holiday Photo tradition. (and sometimes video tradition)

This year, the theme was “Holiday Movies from Days of Yore.” Each fox chose a movie in which the holidays played a vital role (hint: though it was on the table, no one chose Die Hard), and tried their best to recreate a scene from that movie. There are a ton missing, but we’re only 15 foxes strong! So we’re very sorry if your favorite isn’t here, but hopefully you’ll forgive us.

This year, we’re adding a little something to the tradition. Comment on these photos at Facebook.com/CultureWins and you’ll have a chance to win your choice of a $100 iTunes gift card, or a $100 spa finder gift card.  Anything goes, but keep it clean. We’re friends with our mom’s on Facebook.

But that’s not all! If you send an email to holidaymovies@agentsilverfox.com with your guesses for each photo telling us the Character & Movie Title recreated in each photo, you’ll have a chance to win the first official, Silverfox Salsa of the Month club created by Chef Ryan Miller.

The photos will begin releasing tomorrow around 10am pacific on Tuesday. Head over to Facebook.com/CultureWins and like our page to get updated as the photos are released. We'll have winners chosen by Friday.
