Audrey Hepburn, along with Ava Gardner, Lauren Bacall, Grace Kelly and Ingrid Bergman, to name a few, are known as quintessential depictions of elegance.

My question is, where’s ours?
In this day and age it seems like the era of class and sophistication left long ago.
I have two younger cousins who are 12 and 15. They are at the stage in their …

Who doesn’t love bright, fun colors for spring and summer? Let’s put away those dark, dreary ones and navigate toward the sun, beach and fun!
Personal favorites:
1) China Glaze: For Aubrey. The perfect, Tiffany blue color. Since Tiffany blue is patented, this is the closest you can get! I’m currently rocking it, and let me tell you, I get loads of compliments.
2) Essie: Lilacism. This color just screams spring. A milky, light lilac color that catches the light and looks beautiful.

In the bestselling book, “Eat, Pray, Love,” Elizabeth Gilbert searches for a word to describe herself. I was so deep in the editing trenches eradicating ‘thats’ I forgot to search for an overall word for this magazine. Once I looked at the stories, I found a common thread: encouragement.
I kept seeing an acute awareness of time in writers’ stories. I remembered how my business writing professor taught me to look at what a company has done and is doing as well as plans to do. He may have been talking …

Where do you see feminism and where is society headed?

Compiled by Katelynd Jarvis

fem·i·nism \ˈfe-mə-ˌni-zəm\ noun: the theory of the political, economic and social equality of the sexes, according to Merriam-Webster
“I certainly don’t think feminism will ever go away, but I do think it has a very negative stigma, which turns a lot of women away. I also think that since women …

Place Blame Where it Belongs

One difference between men and women that picketing and revolution cannot change is sex. Our hormones, sexual organs and feelings about sex will always be different. This sexual difference brings up an issue our society has to deal with and it is called rape.
It is a hell of a lot easier for a man to rape a woman than for a woman to rape a man. Its almost impossible. So rare that reliable stats aren’t even available for female-male rape, and all statistics kept on rape involve male-female rape.
A woman …

Written by Alyssa Newman | Photography by Matt Hafley and Dan Maxwell
Writing may seem archaic, but for seven Kent State students, love letters continue to be a meaningful method of communication. They’ve used them to help transition, celebrate holidays, cope with breakups, share secrets, communicate long distance, explain their feelings and show their affection. These are their stories.
Learning Through Letters
Kellie Milano waited weeks and weeks for letters from her boyfriend, Frank, to reach her from Iraq. When they did finally arrive, the senior information design major says they were often out of …
