Midwives
In Ohio
Women who give birth in hospitals can be sure that every effort will be
made to ensure the safety of themselves and their babies. But some mothers
are looking for a different kind of birthing experience, and are turning
to midwives for help delivering. However, midwives are largely unregulated
in Ohio, but this spring, after a Holmes County midwife was arrested this
winter for allegedly overstepping her bounds, the issue has become a hot
topic for families and health care professionals.

Predatory
Lending Information
The city of Cleveland is being sued for an ordinance they passed two months
ago on predatory lending. The city was outraged that the state's law limited
their ability to regulate lenders who were "preying" on it's citizens.
A National Lending organization filed suit saying it's too difficult to
adhere to laws in every single municipality - regulation should fall with
state and federal governments. Now other lenders have spoken out against
the ordinance, some have even stopped lending in the area.
