The Office of Warrant Assistance was
established to help
those people who for one reason or another find themselves crossways of the legal system.
Although traditional warrant service (putting people in jail) is an unfortunate necessity
as a part of this program, it is not the central focus. The focal point is to assist those
people who truly want to do right and help them out of the circumstances they find
themselves in. As Undersheriff Joe Knight says, "Sometimes people want to run from
their mistakes and choices, and when they do, we are compelled to do our best to find
them. But more importantly, we are here to assist those who now by their choices, choose
to do right." |
