Kindform: How far do you art direct your photography - or do you just point and shoot? Rudy Choperena: I definitely art direct. In fact, I was working in Santa Fe last week and one of my ideas for a client who wanted to have really organic colors was to take the colors from Santa Fe. Basically, a lot of sand and landscape and [I] incorporated a couple items of hers [to] give me colors that she likes such as some pillows from her living room.
