Darren Dale

Director

Producer Darren Dale (Bunjalung) is the co-director of Blackfella Films, one of Australias premiere Indigenous production companies. He produced short films Mimi for director Warwick Thornton and Flat for Beck Cole, and he has co-curated the Sydney-based Message Sticks Indigenous Film Festival since 2002.

The Tall Man was the winner of THE ALANIS OBOMSAWIN BEST DOCUMENTARY AWARD at imagineNATIVE 2011 and was presented by Alanis Obomsawin on behalf of the National Film Board ($1,500 cash award)
