Captain James Schupper Fund Event
The Finderne Fire Dept. and Smokehouse BBQ Somerville have teamed up to raise money for the Captain James Schupper Fund. Smokehouse BBQ has offered to donate 10% of their total profit on April 20th between the hours of 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm. They also deliver! They are located at 45 West Main St in Somerville. The Finderne Fire Department hosted Ret. Lt Larry Cohen of the F.D.N.Y. and his company Fire Ground Technologies for a night of great training. The topic of the night was Fire Ground Tactics. The members of the Finderne Fire Department would like to thank everyone who attended our fundraiser on Friday night at McCarthy's. A special thanks goes to McCarthy's Bar and Grille for allowing us to hold the event their and their excellent staff for exceptional service. The Department can't be happier with the support we have been receiving from everyone.

Rescue 1 Runs 2 Working Fires

At 0803 hrs, Rescue 1 was requested into Hillsborough Township for the report of a working fire at 6 Fischer Dr. The Rescue, along with Car 30, Chief Armstrong, responded to the scene of a single family dwelling with the fire already knocked down. There was heavy fire damage noticeable but due to the fast actions of the Hillsborough Fire Officials for deploying a STAT-X, the bulk of the fire was knocked down. The crew from the Rescue stood FAST for approx 45 minutes before being released. Another great job by all companies working.
At 1031 hrs, just as the crew was returning for an accidental alarm, Rescue 1 was requested into Somerville for the working fire in an attic at 208 East Main St. Due to an aggressive and quick attack, Rescue 1 returned home after being on scene for only 10 minutes.
After another false alarm a few minutes after returning home, all crews were able to have a few hours of R & R.

Boat Safe U.S. LLC is pleased to announce its 2012 Boat Safety Classes for
the Bridgewater area. Classes will be held on the second floor of the Finderne
Firehouse, located at 672 E. Main Street in Bridgewater.
Classes begin in March, and are offered on both weekdays and
