The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce Launches New Website

NEW HOPE, PA (July 8, 2011) The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with BadCat Design, will launch a new website on July 15, 2011. The new website, VisitNewHope.com, will be the visitor guide companion to the existing Chamber website, NewHopeChamber.com.

The concept for the new website started over a year ago during a brainstorming session between New Hope Chamber board members, Louis Licitra and Glen Stephan, and the Chamber’s web developer, BadCat Design (www.badcat.com). The goal was to make shops, restaurants, lodging, services, attractions and local news easier for web visitors to access. By providing information about Chamber sponsored events as well as other activities in and around New Hope, the new site acts as a visitor guide for individuals, groups and families interested in visiting New Hope. The site offers a comprehensive calendar of events and links to specialty events, such as the July 31st New Hope Wine Faire and the September 24th and 25th Arts & Crafts Festival. Rotating graphic links on the home page connect visitors to New Hope’s featured activities.

Louis Licitra, New Hope Chamber president, has been VisitNewHope.com’s biggest proponent and has worked tirelessly with Joseph Kelter of BadCat Design to bring the site to fruition.

“In past years the Chamber published a paper version of the Visitor Guide,” said Licitra. “We thought it would be more practical and cost effective to include everything on our website. The new site will always be up-to-date and it will have pages that can be printed as needed by the web visitor. We are also pleased to say that, by implementing the new website, the Chamber is starting to go paperless.”

“We were thrilled to work with the Chamber on the new site,” added Kelter. “It was a chance to get things up-to-date as well as help streamline long-term costs and produce a ‘greener’ infrastructure. We think the new site will be a welcome addition for visitors coming to New Hope and will help feature local businesses to area residents.”

Visitors are encouraged to begin using the VisitNewHope.com site immediately and to sign up for the Chamber’s monthly newsletter. The Chamber also has a Facebook page (Facebook.com/VisitNewHope) and a Twitter page (Twitter.com/VisitNewHope), both of which can be accessed via one of the social media links on the new website.

The existing NewHopeChamber.com site will be revamped to provide Chamber of Commerce membership related information only. Cross links between the two sites will be prominent.

The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce is organized to promote the economic, civil, commercial, cultural, artistic, historical and educational interests of the area. Visit the Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce at www.VisitNewHope.com or call 215-862-9990.
