Hello Scouts and Families!
I hope you had a relaxing and fun summer.
Now, it’s September, the traditional kick-off for the scouting year. It’s also the kick-off for lots of other
activities like soccer, instrument lessons and a little thing called school. So I thought it would help to
give you a list of important dates and info.
Important dates
International Email Update Day: September 15 is International Email Update Day, a time to make sure your email address is on the Pack 64 email list (OK, I made up the date, but you should check anyway. This is how most info is moved around the Pack.) It’s easy. To join or make sure you have joined, send an email from the account(s) you want connected to CubScout64-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. If you are a member, you’ll get an email saying that.
Tiger Parent and Scout Meeting: Tuesday, September 16, 7:00 PM Haddonfield Baptist Church. New Tiger Scouts and Parents meet and learn about the exciting program for first graders.
Pack Meeting: September 26 at 7:00PM, Haddonfield Baptist Church. First of the year. Returning and new scouts are invited. Bring a friend. More scouts=more fun! Plus, you can earn the famous recruiter badge. Let’s kick off the year with a big crowd.
Den Meetings: Your Den leader should have been in touch with the schedule. If not, let me know and I will put you in touch with the right people.
Fall Camping: October 3-5, Belleplain State Forrest, Woodbine NJ. The cost is $5 per person, per day with a cap of $30 per family. Contact Steve Zalecky or me if you want to come. The weekend will be here fast so look at your calendar and get back to us ASAP with numbers attending and payment. To make planning easier, we need you to pre-pay for this trip.
There will be lots of fun and information at the first Pack Meeting on Friday, September 26 at 7:00 PM, so make sure you are there! Bring a friend. New scouts are welcome any time, not just September. So if a friend cannot make it to the Pack meeting, he can try a Den meeting or join us later in the year.
I look forward to a great first year as Cubmaster. It’s all new for me so I am nervous. But when I get nervous about what might happen, I just remember the Cub Scout motto and I feel better. Join me right now:
