Set amidst stunning Highland scenery, our four thatched cottages, "Tigh Phadraig", "Tigh Miri" and "Tigh Seonag" and "Tigh Lachie", each offer a unique taste of luxurious and romantic self-catering accommodation including a traditional veiled boxed bed (better than any four poster!), under floor heated stone floors throughout (absolutely wonderful on bare feet!), with a stove sitting in the large stone fire place - perfect for watching the flickering flames whilest sipping at a wee dram during your romantic retreat.

A well equipped fully fitted kitchen is also installed, but if you don't fancy cooking there are many fine restaurants on the Isle of Skye, including one just a short walk away. Enjoy the perfect romantic vacation in some of the finest Highland thatched cottages (or 'black houses') in Scotland. The cottages have been awarded Four Stars by the Scottish Tourist Board and are available to rent throughout the year.

Romantic Scottish Island Location

The cottages are located in the renowned but secluded small fishing and crofting village of Elgol on the Isle of Skye. The view from the jetty at the bottom of the village, looking across Loch Scavaig towards Loch Coruisk and the stunning Cuillin mountain range is arguably the finest in the country.

At the small harbour local creel and trawling boats land their catches. Other boats run trips across Loch Scavaig to Loch Coruisk which is nestled in the very heart of the Cuillin Hills. The holiday cottages are perfectly situated for those looking to have a climbing holiday or hill walking holiday with nearby access to Blaven and the other Cuillins. An abundance of wildlife can be found locally - on land, at sea and in the air - making Skye the experience of a lifetime for nature lovers.
