Kristen and Drake’s fall Georgia wedding was a magical outdoor affair filled with gorgeous florals, beautiful jewel colors and set against a watery backdrop that can only be described as stunning.

The Bridesview team loved all the little details about this elegant affair as well. The photo booth is certainly a quirky one and we adore the Frog Prince centerpiece. And some of the dramatic shots that Kelly is Nice Photography took by the water of the happy couple are just breathtaking!

There is plenty more to see from this wedding at Bridesview.com, so why not head there now? We would also love to hear your thoughts about it so why not stop by the Bridesview Facebook page and share them?

The Bridesview team were enchanted by this gorgeous North Carolina wedding from the first moment we saw these fabulous photos from Swank Photo Studio. Therefore we were delighted when the beautiful bride Jessica agreed to share some further insight about her big day. What was the inspiration behind the charming rustic theme we asked.

Jessica told us ” The main inspiration for our wedding was family and to provide our loved ones with true Southern Hospitality that would create an environment as inviting and familiar as our grandmothers’ kitchens! I’ve always enjoyed the simplicity and timelessness of the vintage/rustic look and wanted to portray that through the decor, primarily in the reception area.  However, in doing so, I wanted to avoid the typical “”polished”” look of so many weddings I’ve seen because to me, the most important part of your wedding day should be emphasizing what is truly important, family and friends.”

“We kept the decor simple, unique and meaningul so that our guests didn’t become overshadowed by it. That was the motivation behind all of the family photos being displayed for guests to enjoy and tag themselves on our photo time line. Our families and friends have made us the people we are today and we wanted them to know that we recognize and appreciate them for that.”

“Being raised with Southern values means we appreciate true down-home cooking! The inspiration for our menu choices reflected that as well as the fact that all the food was prepared solely by the owner of the manor, not a high end caterer.  Aside from having our mother’s prepare the food themselves, it was as close to home cooking as it could get!”

As a girl who’s been there Jessica also had some great advice to share for brides to be. “Contract a day-of coordinator to oversee all preparations the day of the wedding.  I considered doing this but decided against it because of the additional cost and because the owner of the manor was supposed to serve in this position.  Despite her best efforts, food preparation and other necessities occupied most of her day so the responsibility fell on the shoulders of my bridesmaids and immediate family members.  In retrospect, spending the additional money on a day-of coordinator would’ve been well worth the cost!”

“Also insist on a walk through of the ceremony site and reception site prior to guests arriving.  I was unable to do this because of time constraints, but really wish I had been able to.  Once the reception started there was some confusion about place settings because no body informed me of the last minute changes that had to be made and I would’ve liked to have been able to make a few touch ups to the table centerpieces myself.  Keep in mind, these were minor details that nobody else recognized, but as a perfectionist myself, was a little bothered by them!”

“Lastly, don’t be afraid to ask questions or to push for what you really want.  Your wedding day is a once in a life time experience and you deserve to get what you’ve envisioned.  Our wedding day was phenomenal and I couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out overall, but - there are always things that could be done to make such a busy day run smoother!”

Although spring and summer weddings are glorious there is a lot to be said for a beautiful fall wedding as well. Stephanie and David’s elegant affair, as captured here by Mike Pittman Photography, was held in the crisper fall temperatures in Raleigh, North Carolina and is a wonderful example of just how lovely an “off season” wedding can be.

We love the beautiful red roses in Stephanie’s bouquet and her elegant wrap was certainly a very stylish way to keep those little chills at bay while still showing off her fabulous dress.

As you can see from these photos taken by Jeff Tisman, Inna and Scott’s Hamburg, New Jersey wedding was a beautiful affair. And because a member of the Bridesview team has a bit of an “in” with the bride we were lucky enough to hear from Inna about what inspired her wedding choices. “ We wanted something that was going to be very classy but simple and to incorporate the beauty of nature. We got extremely lucky as the weather cooperated and we had a gorgeous sunset during our ceremony”.

Inna also had some advice to share about a subject very dear to the Bridesview team’s interests - the photography. ”A great photographer is really important so spend some time looking at different portfolios. Also leave at least a few hours for pictures. We had about 2 hours and I wish we have 2 more as there were so many beautiful places to take pictures at our resort.

Don’t forget to ask the photographer to take pictures of the reception room before all the guests arrive. Lastly, don’t worry about the bottom of your dress getting dirty while taking pictures, even if you take them before the ceremony. No one will see the bottom of your dress and its not worth the stress of worrying about it. The great pictures you will have are completely worth it!”
