The American Society of Questioned Document Examiners is the oldest and largest organization in the world dedicated to the profession of forensic document examination. The ASQDE traces its roots to 1913, when Albert S. Osborn initiated a program for the interchange of ideas and research. Welcome to the website of the American Society of Questioned Document Examiners. On behalf of the Society, I invite you to tour our website and get an idea of what the ASQDE is all about. You can learn about the history of the Society, our annual meetings, and get contact information for examiners in private practice, as well as our Executive Committee.
Every year, normally in August or September, our members and invited guests meet for the Society's annual general meeting. At the annual meeting, our members and guests present research papers and participate in educational workshops. To maintain membership, each member must regularly present a research paper or make other significant contributions to the annual meeting.
