Lost Shadows 2 ist ein dreitägiges Festival für experimentelle
Livemusik und audiobasierten analogen & digitalen Installationen von
Videokunst über
traditionelle Medien. Der wesentliche Kern hinter der Konzeption und die
treibenden Kräfte von Lost Shadows sind die Einladung, zu erfahren und
zu erforschen, unseren Ohren neue und alternative Wege zu öffnen, eine
Neuorientierung unserer auditiven und visuellen ästhetischen Konditionierung
zu ermöglichen.
Klang- oder Videokunst, digital oder analog, eindrucksvoll oder nervend, es ist nicht nur etwas für Technikfreaks. Die Herangehensweise der Künstler in bezug auf ihre Instrumente ist dabei besonders wichtig. Egal, ob die Instrumente eher ins Museum gehören oder Teil der neuesten Softwareentwicklung sind.
Lost Shadows findet zum zweiten Mal in The Factory-Berlin statt.
Kuratiert bei Oren Zehavi and Seamus O'Donnell, das Festival ist von teilnehmenden Künstlern organisiert. Es ist ein kollaboratives Projekt. Über den Verein für Geräusch- und Klangkunst, Salon Bruit, haben sich viele in Berlin lebende internationale Künstler zusammengefunden, um dieses Festival zu verwirklichen. Dies ist ein notwendiger Faktor für die Existenz von Lost Shadows.
Lost Shadows 2 is a three-day erupting festival of live experimental music, sound-based analog and digital art installations, visual art and traditional media.
The essential kernel behind the conception and driving force of Lost Shadows is an invitation to experience, to explore, to open our ears in new and alternative ways in an attempt to reorientate our auditive and visual aesthetic conditioning. Sound or video art, digital or analogue, impressive or irritating, it does not strive to be a "geeks only affair". Consequently, the artists' methods and approaches to their instruments, whether they belong in a museum or are part of the latest software development are all important.
Lost Shadows will take place for the second time at The Factory-Berlin.
Curated by Oren Zehavi and Seamus O'Donnell, the festival is collaboratively organised by it's participants: both Berlin residing and international artists who have come together from similar subcultures of art through the association for experiment in sound, Salon Bruit. This collaborative spirit is an essential factor of the Lost Shadows existence.

Lost Shadows 2 takes place in The Factory-Berlin on December 1st (Friday), 2nd (Saturday) and 3rd (Sunday) 2006, in Oberschöneweide.

How to get there:
- Address: 3rd Floor Gallery, The Factory-Berlin (Spreehöfe Aufgang D), Edisonstraße 63 (ecke Wilhelminenhofstraße), 12459 Berlin.
- S-Bahn: The venue is a five-minute walk from S-Bahn Schöneweide (routes S9, S8 and S85).
- Tram: Trams number 21, 27, 63 and 67 all go past the front of the venue.
- Night bus: N3 and N65 both serve the venue.
