Alien Boy: the Death and Life of James Chasse is a feature-length documentary film about an extraordinary case of police brutality, about what a city learned and how it changed, and about the man in the middle, James Chasse, an artist, a musician, a son, a neighbor – and a man with schizophrenia.
Project Update: Major filming concluded January 2011 with an interview with Portland Mayor Sam Adams.
Project Status: Editing is ongoing. Our goal is to have the Alien Boy finished by October 2011 and in festivals in the Spring of 2012.
