Fàilte!

spacer Welcome to Gaelic4Parents.com, the website for parents and children interested and involved in Gaelic education. Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig) is a Celtic language native to Scotland and thousands of children (and adults!) are learning it right now.

spacer This site is bursting with games, stories, audio and much more to help you enjoy the experience of learning Gaelic, whatever your ability. Why not go straight to some of the interactive fun at Listen and Speak or in the 'Learn' section? Listen to stories like An Gruffalo, sing along line-by-line , or plunge into the huge fantasy adventures of Colla and Corstaig with 'An Criostal Cridhe'.

The Benefits of Bilingualism

Research has shown that bilingualism is beneficial for children’s development and their future. Antonella Sorace is the Professor of Developmental Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh and spoke recently at An t-Alltan 2011, a conference for Gaelic Teachers organised by Storlann. Watch the speech below.
