The call for participation for the JTEL Winter School is now closed and prospective participants have been informed of the outcome of the selection process.
The 2011 JTEL Winter School is held in conjunction with the Alpine Rendezvous in La Clusaz, France. The JTEL Winter School is organized as a one week event, including various types of sessions, ranging from interactive lectures to focused workshops and collaboration in teams on small projects. The workshops allow the participants to explore and discuss intensively the topics with leading experts in the field and relate the insights to their own research. Furthermore, the participants have the space to present their own work in interactive sessions. This joint approach allows Ph.D. candidates to approach their research from the perspective of different disciplines and get in touch with researchers and fellow Ph.D. candidates from all over Europe.
You can find here a first outline of the JTEL Winter School. A description of the Alpine Rendezvous workshops is available here on the STELLAR homepage.
