A book by Brown is the University of Chicago Press' 2007 entry for the Pulitzer Prize in Letters.
Brown’s “Richard Hofstadter: An Intellectual Biography” has been called “an incisive interpretive profile” by The Chronicle of Higher Education’s Carlin Romano. And Sam Tanenhaus of The New York Times calls the book “intelligent and stimulating.”
An assistant professor of history, Brown received his Ph.D. in American history at the University of Toledo and has been teaching at Elizabethtown College for nine years. “Richard Hofstadter: An Intellectual Biography” is his second book. He is currently working on a study of the University of Wisconsin’s contribution to historical writing in the 20th century.
Prof. Donald Kraybill

Nationally recognized for his scholarship on Anabaptist groups, Kraybill is the author or editor of numerous books and dozens of professional articles. His research on Anabaptist groups has been featured in magazines, newspapers, and on radio and television programs across the United States and in many foreign countries including Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Australia and Japan.
Distinguished College Professor and Senior Fellow at the Young Center for Anabaptist and Pietist Studies, Kraybill has received numerous awards, including the National Religious Book Award for “The Upside Down Kingdom,” which has been translated into five languages. He has authored or coauthored seven books on Amish life and culture.
