Oh, oh, you REALLY need to watch this mass start of 15,800 people at this month's 88th running of the Vassaloppet in Sweden.  Bonus:  it's in English!   18 degrees, concrete hard traks.  90K distance that will be finished in ~3hrs 50 min for the winners;  way longer for others!

A new snowmobile at Harriet Hollister this winter means we need smaller, more flexible skis to allow Fred to make the tight turns there.....and the HFL Ski Swap committee comes thru again to finance their purchase!  Thank you for improving the grooming and therefore the cross country skiing at HHS, HFL Ski Swap committee!

You've seen them in their red jackets, huge white cross on their backs.....in every local skiing park on winter weekends.  They're the Genesee Valley Nordic Ski Patrol and they're ready to safely get you out of the woods should a mishap occur, far from the parking lot or road!

September 2011 Member Survey Results

The silver lining to a light snow winter:   first time ALL RXCSF Groomers were able to be in one place for a training session (and photo!)   New park to look forward to skiing at:  Durand Eastman, where the cart paths around the beautiful and hilly golf course will be rolled and tracked.    Click here for Durand  trail map.   Park at the golf course parking lot and look for trail map brochures.

6pm Saturday report:  4 inches of cold dry powder fell overnight Friday!

Bring your rock classic skis and get to Harriet Hollister,  Sunday morning should be great too before the warm up!  Sunny place near the bathroom is light but everywhere else, surprisingly wonderful (just got back Sat. at 6pm)
