On April 25th, 2011, the J train has begun its repainting process between 81st and 82nd St. The El train has begun the priming process which will be followed by the painting stage. This job is weather pending and will continue until 2013. The job will span from Cypress Hills to 130th St. and Jamaica Avenue.

Woodhaven's Jamaica Avenue, from Dexter Court to 100th Street, is a bustling commercial zone in the heart of the dynamic Woodhaven community. The Woodhaven Business Improvement District(WBID) is a band of property owners, business men and women, as well as community leaders, dedicated to improving Woodhaven commerce. Established in 1993, the WBID has been an influential part of the ever-changing, ever-growing business of Woodhaven.
