National LISC wins $85MM in New Markets Tax Credits

Mon - 12 Mar

NEW YORK (February 27, 2011)-- With an $85-million New Markets Tax Credits award announced last week by the U.S. Treasury Department, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) will be able to drive more vital private-sector capital into distressed commercial corridors.

"These investments help restore the economic infrastructure of disinvested neighborhoods," he added.

At the Fenway CDC, we believe that residents should drive the planning process, not just supplement it, because residents are the true experts on their neighborhood. Read more...
