March’s Top Shows on Miso!

10. Debuting on the top ten with its season five premiere is AMC’s Mad Men.  With only one episode shown in March, it is very impressive to see the series break the top ten. The show will be wining and dining at the top of the list in no time, 100% guaranteed or your money back. 9. Another returning Sunday drama, Desperate Housewives, comes in at #9 for the month. The show, which is in its final season, cracked the top 10 just in time for a proper send-off. How will it all end? We’ll just have to check-in and see. 8. A perennial Miso favorite, supernatural drama Fringe comes in at #8…

SideShow Showcase: Creative Colors, Community and Eye Candy

This week’s SideShow Showcase is jam-packed with quite a few gems, including unique split-screen cards, references to prior show information, quotes from our favorite characters and interesting facts. So without further ado, let’s get on with the showcase… Our first SideShow is from Matt Simon and his creative cards that show the dichotomy of the fantasy crime drama Awake. Matt places images together to demonstrate how the parallel worlds are contrasted with the use of warm or cool colors. It’s one thing to see it on the screen, and another to see it right next to each other. Pretty nifty! Who else was celebrating the return of Community? We certainly were, and since…

Yet Another Pull-To-Refresh Library

Pull to refresh is by far the most popular paradigm used in refreshing feed based views on an iOS device. First introduced by Loren Brichter of Tweetie, pull to refresh has made its way into just about every touch based device out there. Here’s a picture to help you better understand how this technology works (taken from gorumors.com): Thankfully, Brichter doesn’t require you to obtain a license to use it shamelessly in your own app, bless him!   Current Solutions Now, our…

Tune In 2012 : Social TV @ SXSW

It’s hard to believe that SXSW Interactive comes to a close today. It’s been a jam packed few days, and we wanted to write a big THANK YOU to those that were able to join us last Friday as we kicked things off in style at Tune In 2012 : Social TV at SXSW.  It was great seeing so many people willing to come out and brave the rainpocalyse in Austin for an evening of margaritas and fajitas (the Game of Patrons drink seemed to be the big hit of the night). Photo courtesy of Cory Bergman from Lost Remote In addition to enjoying the food and drinks, we shared the “12 Key…
