Yard of the Month

Wedgwood Neighborhood Association is pleased to announce the Yard of the Month (YOM) program beginning August 2011.  The purpose of the YOM is to maintain and improve the appearance of our community by promoting well-kept yards.  One winner each month will receive a gift certificate and will proudly display a “Yard of the Month” sign in their yard for a month.  A picture of the winning yard will be posted on the WNA website, if the winner so desires.  Each homeowner/renter/business owner is invited to participate.

Each owner/renter/business owner may nominate a neighboring house/business or themselves through our Contact Us page or by leaving a nomination on 817-294-1370.  Nominations will be taken from the 1^st through the 10^th of each month.  The Yard of the Month Committee will review the nominations and selection will be made by the 25^th of the month. 

Criteria for judging will include everything that can be seen from the street, including yard (grass, ground cover, rockscape), garden, shrubs, trees, hardscape and seasonal decorations.  Each house/business is limited to receiving the YOM award once in a 12 month period.  The decision of the judging committee is final.
