According to the decision of Subotica’s city council, the Italian Calzedonia has been given eight hectars of construction land for building a new factory. The amount planned for this investment is 20 million euros, and according to the plan, the project will start next year. Until 2014, Calzedonia will employ 1000 new workers. Calzedonia's director of investment Francesco Ruffoli said that Kalzedonia decided to expand production in Serbia because it is satisfied with its factories Fiorano in Sombor, which operates from 2010 and currently employs 670 workers.
Factory Fiorano in Sombor is engaged in the production of stockings, bathing suits and underwear for children, men and women.
