The
Pulaski Public Library is getting a new ceiling and lights.
It is an ARRA funded project being administered by the State
Department of Mines, Minerals, and Energy.
The
renovation project will began on March 12 and be completed
toward the end of April. The library will try to minimize
the impact on library users by shutting down only small
sections of the library at a time. Visitors to the library
may be directed to use only the front or back entrance as
different sections of the library are closed while the old
ceiling is being torn out and new ceiling and lights are
installed.
There
will be limited Internet and computer access stations
available during the renovation. The Library staff will
attempt to keep customers informed but due to electrical
work being involved, there may be sudden outages and no
computer access. The renovation will result in improved
lighting throughout the library and an estimated 30% savings
in the cost of lighting the building.
The
Pulaski Library will be closed only two days during the
renovation process, on Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April
14. The Charles and Ona B. Free Memorial Library in Dublin
will remain open these two dates to serve the public.
