How To Use This Blog
This blog is dedicated to the stories of our Metro Detroit region. Whether it’s a personal story, a tale of businesses doing new things or reaching new markets, or anyone making a difference in our region, we’re here to talk about it.
Take Our Stuff
These are stories are meant as ideas and inspiration. We’re here to discuss the Detroit region, so feel free, with clear attribution and a link to the post, to use our content in its entirety in your stories, blog posts, or whatever you’re working on. We do our best to fact-check our material, and provide links where appropriate to source materials and please maintain those links for the integrity of the work. It’d be great if you sent us a note if you did include our materials in your site, just so we know.
Of course, content that we link to or repost may have its own rules, so check with the original site for their policy.
Real Cities, Real Stories, Real Time
Here we ask, “What’s really happening everywhere from the neighborhoods to the universities to the corporate office in the Detroit region?” We believe in having honest, respectful dialogue. To that end, we reserve the right to moderate any and all comments. Comments that are racist in nature, hateful, disrespectful or personal attacks will not be permitted or removed upon discovery. All comments are for discussion and dialogue; not for shouting down people. We also strongly encourage real names in discussion.
If you’ve got a story or an idea for a post, please contact us. We reserve the right to edit any and all submissions, and for a variety of reasons may not post your submission. By submitting, you agree to how we do things. Others may take the content as described above with attribution. We’re a source for others, and regularly promote the content of others’.
On our blog and social media outposts (see our Facebook Page and Twitter), we strive to link to the original source whenever possible. We’re not perfect, but we try our best to get to the original author. We respect that the internet is a link economy, not a theft one.
