Welcome!

Navigating a new site can be overwhelming, so we thought we’d give you a hand by compiling a crib sheet of our most popular (and hopefully most helpful) resources.

These are just the highlights, though — if you want it all you can see the entire list of articles on the All Posts page. Handy, eh?

WHO WE ARE

We’re Christy and Kali, two digital nomads who work online and travel fulltime.

Kali is a computer geek, Christy enjoys photography, and we both have a passion for food (and a newly-discovered obsession with espresso flavored German chocolate bars!).

If you’d like to learn more about who we are and how we got started living life on the road, you’ll probably want to check out our About Us page.

RV RESOURCES

We spent a year (June 2010 to July 2011) living in a motorhome dubbed Mayhem and traveling around the U.S. If you want to learn more about that adventure and read up on our tips for fulltime RVing, this is the place to start:

  • Living in an RV: Travel Costs
  • Pros and Cons of Living in an RV
  • RV Travel With Pets
  • Confessions of a Dog Who Hates the RV Lifestyle
  • Our WORST RV (Black Tank) Disaster
  • Mobile Internet Options
  • Selling our RV: Saying Farewell to Mayhem

HOUSESITTING RESOURCES

After selling our motorhome, we decided to leave our border collie with family and head abroad. We travel slowly, mixing housesitting with short-term apartment rentals, and try to balance exploration and travel with work and the realities of daily life.

We honestly can’t recommend housesitting highly enough; you can learn more about our experiences – and how to get started housesitting yourself! – through the links below.

  • Housesitting in London

MONTHLY TRAVEL BUDGETS

In addition to providing our monthly breakdown on the travel costs of living in an RV, we’re also documenting our costs each month while we travel abroad.

Our posts include transportation, accommodation, food (groceries and eating out), attractions, and miscellaneous costs, and we also calculate our daily average for the month. So far, we seem to be proving that travel doesn’t have to be expensive!

  • Monthly Travel Budget: August 2011 (London)
  • Monthly Travel Budget: September 2011 (England, Malta, Germany)
  • Monthly Travel Costs: October 2011 (Berlin)
  • Monthly Travel Costs: November 2011 (Prague, Budapest, Chiang Mai)

PHOTOGRAPHY

While we’re by no means professional photographers, we enjoy trying to capture the essence of the places we explore. Check out some of our photos essays below and let us know what you think, or view our Photos page for links to view our albums directly on Facebook.

  • National Parks of the Southwest
  • Arches National Park
  • Oregon Coast
  • White Sands National Monument
