My Story

Over the years, I have enjoyed the visiting the area that surrounds the area of the Siskiyou Crest.

I have walked, hiked, biked, rode ATV, and driven over the land and on roads in the area. I actually learned to drive on those backroads.

Over the years, I have hunted, fished, camped, explored, gathered berries, gathered nuts, visited historic sites, worked at logging and road building, gathered firewood, prospected for gold, cut Christmas trees, swam, played in the snow, got stuck in the snow and a host of other outdoor adventure activities.

I have taken my wife and children on drives and shared with them all that I could remember about my past experiences while creating new ones.  They enjoy our treks over the mountain roads. We collect spring water to bring home. We shoot firearms and clean up any debris.

If the area were to be locked up from vehicle travel, the uses my family and I have been accustomed to would be severely limited and/or diminished.
