Application Window for the 2012 Harpoon B2B is NOW closed (as of 1/25/12 at 12 noon)! On February 1st, we will notify applicants of their status via email. Good Luck!

It is strongly recommended that riders interested in applying for future B2B’s, sign up here to be on the Harpoon B2B e-mail list.

ABOUT THE HARPOON B2B ADMISSIONS PROCESS
WHO:

By design, the Harpoon Brewery to Brewery Ride is not for everyone. This ride is for cyclists who enjoy great beer, are physically and mentally tough, take pleasure in the fellowship of others, excel in the face of challenges, play by the rules, and can ride 148 miles to the finish safely according to the ride schedule.

All Applicants:

Riders will have a one week window during which to apply. We will take all admissions information at this time, including credit card info. At the end of the admissions window, we will compile the results and on February 1st applicants will be notified of their status for the 2012 Harpoon Brewery to Brewery Ride. If accepted, your credit card will be charged and you will be registered for the ride! If not accepted, all credit card and personal information will be destroyed. There is no application fee, you will only be charged if accepted.

Note: B2B Registration is non-transferable and non-refundable.

Harpoon President and Co-Founder Dan Kenary lost his 50 year old brother to brain cancer in 2007. He lost his mother to the same disease in 2011.  Dan created this fund in their honor. He and his family thank you for your support

If you wish to make additional donations after you have submitted your application, you can access a personal fundraising page to raise funds and make donations directly to one or both of the B2B’s selected charities. Note: this is optional and not a requirement of admission.

A Note on Alumni Status and Admission beyond 2011

2011 Riders who completed the entire course while riding at their registered peloton speed have been awarded favorable status, and are listed here. Since the inception of the “Leviathan” course in 2008, we have set the mark for ride times at “10 hours or less” in all communication materials, along with the ability to maintain a course schedule. While the schedule calls for a maximum 10:07 hours elapsed time, we set the “favorable status” bar at 11:00 hours elapsed time for 2011 riders.  *The riders who have been awarded favorable status are not guaranteed entry into the 2012 ride but it does mean their chances of admission are higher. We will match your application to the master list once you apply and give special consideration to 2011 riders awarded favorable status.

The Harpoon B2B is a hard ride for hard core riders (who love craft beer).  There are a lot more cyclists than there are spots in the ride. We cannot admit riders in groups, so if you want to ride with friends, be prepared that by applying, there is a risk that not everyone in your group will get in and we will not administer refunds. Doing the ride isn’t easy, and neither is getting in.  Good luck, and thank you for your interest in the Harpoon Brewery to Brewery Ride.
