Sewer Scope | Video Sewer Inspection | Video Camera Inspection

Garvin's offers an OBJECTIVE look at your line. Unfortunately, some companies suggest sewer line replacement and/or sewer scope to generate more revenue. Garvin's does NOT conduct business this way.

Pricing:

Video Camera Inspection: $238
(includes set up and tape or dvd)

Locate Line: $188
    (includes set up)

Both services done at one call: $313

Video Camera Inspection PLUS sewer line cleaning: $344

Please call and speak to Mitch to schedule or for any questions (303) 571-5114

Other Notes on Sewer Scope Inspections:

If the line is not open, we will not be able to scope the line (think of it as trying to take pictures under water)

Many times, the sewer scope will find roots in the line. Roots alone are not typically a reason to replace a line. These are usually rather easy to clean out.

This is a pipe that is clearly broken from the impact of roots. This is a line that had to be replaced. You can see a joint in this line as well. It is not the joint that is causing the need for replacement, but rather the break (circled in red)

Here are some other RED FLAGS to watch for when having your line scoped:

spacer Some companies offer promotions or heavy discounts on sewer line inspections because it opens the door for the opportunity to get thousands of dollars from a “proposed” sewer line replacement. In 19/20 second opinions given by Garvin’s on others recommendation of sewer line repair/replacement, we found NO reason for such a repair.

spacer Low spots, joints and roots don’t always mean there is a problem. Remember that the line has a 4” diameter and the camera runs along it with a small lens. This tends to exaggerate problems, especially to an untrained eye. Don’t ever feel pressured to make a quick decision. We suggest a second opinion. We can recommend trustworthy companies, and we know most of the untrustworthy ones.

spacer If you can, we suggest that you watch the monitor with the camera technician and ask questions, if you have them. A reputable company will leave a copy of the tape with you. (We will review this for free with you, if you’d like). If you are not left a copy of the tape and want a second opinion, we will need to charge you for us to perform a sewer scope.

As always, if you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Let our 70+ years of experience work for you. (303) 571-5114
