Easy conveyor idler replacement with new Martin return rollerIn a move aimed at delivering superior rolling support for conveyer belts, a global leader in conveyor technology has introduced a new return roller. The new design is a track-mounted, pivoting, return-side idler that allows service and replacement from one side of the conveyor. August 2013 sees Australia’s big mining show move to two-year cycleReed Mining Events has announced that due to “overwhelming demand” from the industry, its flagship AIMEX - Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition - will return to the Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park, August 20-23, 2013. AIMEX, which has been held every four years since the 1970s, is the largest mining exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region. The previous edition in September 2011 broke all records; attracting 17,382 visits and 638 exhibitors over four days - cementing its status as the single most important mining event in the Asia-Pacific region. The Via Ferrata Experience at Honister slate mine in the Lake District, has been shortlisted as the country’s Best Tourism Experience in the national Enjoy England Awards 2012, to be revealed in Leicester on May 22. MDM wins EPCM execution contract for Foskor’s D-Bank flotation plant in PhalaborwaMDM Engineering has been awarded the EPCM implementation for the replacement of Foskor’s D-Bank flotation plant at Phalaborwa, in the Limpopo province, South Africa. Founded in 1951, Foskor’s Mining Division in Phalaborwa mines phosphate rock, from which Foskor’s Acid Division in Richards Bay produces phosphoric acid and phosphate-based granular fertilisers for local and international markets.
