About Summit
Summit on 16th is a spiritual home open to all. We are a diverse group of Christian people who work to break down barriers of exclusion and to welcome, honor and nurture all people. Compassion and a commitment to social justice drive our mission to encourage spiritual transformation and to provide service to those in need. Love in service underscores all that we do, from worship to community outreach. Learn more about Summit by reading about Our Staff, Our History and Our People.
JOIN US AS WE CREATE THE FUTURE OF SUMMIT!
With two new pastors, several other new staff members and significant growth in 2010, Summit has been spending 2011 in conversation about where we are going as a congregation. In August of 2011, we took a one-day retreat to develop a clearer sense of mission and vision. Over the following months, the vision statement of where we want to be in five years has been re-written to the following:
We are an intergenerational community of faith, known for building innovative partnerships between the sacred and secular, cultivating spiritual growth, and transforming our neighborhood.
Now, Summit is in the process of setting goals for 2012. The first part of those goals was to develop a statement of call that would guide our decisions down the road.
You can read that statement HERE.
We are excited to see what God has in store for us in the coming year and hope you will join us to be a part of it!
